Who’s behind this?

I’m Shravan Prasad — an e-commerce and analytics professional with over 10 years of experience building and scaling digital commerce operations. I’ve worked across luxury fashion, large-scale retail, and consulting, most recently managing global e-commerce P&L.

I didn’t start this blog to teach theory. I started it because after a decade of sitting inside these systems — building them, measuring them, optimizing them — I had a lot of questions that weren’t being answered anywhere.

Why The Neurals?

AI is reshaping e-commerce faster than most people realize. Not in a sci-fi way — in a quiet, structural way that affects every price you see, every product recommendation you get, every “personalized” offer in your inbox.

I wanted a space to investigate that. To go beyond the press releases and the LinkedIn thought leadership and actually dig into how these systems work, who benefits, and what it means for the rest of us.

The Neurals is that space.

What you’ll find here

Every post is an investigation. I don’t write hot takes — I research, test, and form a view. The topics I cover sit at the intersection of AI, e-commerce, and consumer behavior:

  • How AI decides what price you see
  • What your digital shopping profile actually looks like
  • Whether AI customer service is genuinely better or just cheaper
  • The gap between what companies claim AI does and what it actually does

If you’ve ever felt like the internet knows too much about you, or wondered why that flight costs more than it did yesterday — this blog is for you.

Let’s connect

I’m always open to conversations with people who work in e-commerce, retail tech, or consumer data — whether you want to share a story, push back on something I wrote, or just geek out about AI pricing models.
